Each of my seven teachers have taught me many lessons and have helped me grow. But of all of them I want to recognize Mr.Yasay my choir teacher. Mr. Yasay taught me so many lessons this school year but here's just a few of them that have been quite significant to me this year
Mr.Yasay taught me that if you're going to do something you either do it 110% with full passion or don't do it at all. There's no point to waste your time on petty things that don't make you happy. It wasn't until this year in choir that I really grew an appreciation for music. Of course I always loved music and choir but I never really felt anything with what I was doing, everything was just notes and words on paper with no meaning that I just had to memorize. He taught me to look past that and find the meaning in the words and put passion into it because it doesn't matter if you get all the notes and rhythms right-if you don't sing with passion it won't sound right and it wont mean anything, and that translates to a lot more than just music. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be in his class this year.
