Robert Gupta tell us the story of Nathaniel Anthony Ayers. He studied at Juilliard but his promising future was cut short when he developed paranoid schizophrenia. He had a breakdown and 30 years later he was living homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. Ayers and Gupta met in 2008 at the Walt disney concert hall. Nathaniel refuses treatment because before his treatment consisted of shock therapy, Thorazine and handcuffs. Not long after Nathaniel did a voice lesson with Gupta, Nathanial was in a great stage of panic and agitation when they began the lesson. Gupta began playing his violin and the change in Nathanial was astounding. He found a sense of calmness and understanding
